To provide a ball screw device which can stably lock a ball screw shaft at an arbitrary position and lock the ball screw shaft at the arbitrary position without being supplied with electric power, and to provide a linear motion actuator.SOLUTION: A lock mechanism includes: a housing forming a fluid filled part disposed at an outer periphery side of a nut member; nut member side magnetic ring bodies and housing side magnetic ring bodies alternately disposed at predetermined intervals along an axial direction in the fluid filled part; and a magnetic force generating mechanism provided at the housing. The fluid filled part where each magnetic ring body is disposed is filled with functional fluid which may be solidified by generating a magnetic field by the magnetic force generating mechanism and lock the ball screw shaft at an axial target position. In a state that the magnetic field is not generated by the magnetic force generating mechanism, the functional fluid is not solidified and the ball screw shaft is in a rotatable state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4

    【課題】ボールねじ軸を任意の位置で安定してロックでき、また、ボールねじ軸を任意位置に無給電でロックできるボールねじ装置および直動アクチュエータを提供する。【解決手段】ロック機構は、ナット部材の外周側に配設される流体充填部を形成するハウジングと、流体充填部内に軸方向に沿って交互に所定間隔で配設されるナット部材側の磁性リング体およびハウジング側の磁性リング体と、ハウジングに設けられる磁力発生機構とを備える。各磁性リング体が配設された流体充填部に、磁力発生機構にて、磁界を発生させることにより固化してボールねじ軸を軸方向の目標位置でのロックを可能とする機能性流体を充填し、磁力発生機構にて磁界が発生していない状態では、機能性流体が固化せずにボールねじ軸を回転可能状態とする。【選択図】図4
