To enable mounting of a crane which is larger than a present one by reviewing a supporting structure for a large size crane when manufacturing an ocean work facility by renovating an existing jack-up type digging rig.SOLUTION: A construction method includes: a first step of preparing an existing jack-up type digging rig 10; a second step of removing unnecessary facilities including at least a cantilever 8 and a digging facility 9 from the jack-up type digging rig 10; a third step of forming a cut-out recessed part 2a which is polygonal in a plan view in outer periphery part of a main deck 2 and in a portion where a cantilever 8 has been removed; a fourth step of disposing a crane frame deck 4 integrally onto the main deck 2 in a form of filling a space of the cut-out recessed part 2a, thereby, making a structure where the crane frame deck 4 is supported from multiple directions by respective sides of the cut-out recessed part 2a; and a fifth step of loading a large sized crane 6 onto the crane frame deck 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】既存のジャッキアップ式掘削リグを改造して洋上作業設備を製造するに当たって、大型クレーンの支持構造を見直すことにより、現状よりも更に大型のクレーンの搭載を可能にする。【解決手段】既存のジャッキアップ式掘削リグ10を準備する第1ステップと、前記ジャッキアップ式掘削リグ10から少なくとも前記カンチレバー8と掘削設備9とを含む不要設備を撤去する第2ステップと、前記メインデッキ2の外縁部であって前記カンチレバー8を撤去した部位に、平面視で多角形状の切欠き凹部2aを形成する第3ステップと、前記切欠き凹部2aの空間を埋めるようにクレーン架台用デッキ4を前記メインデッキ2に一体的に設けることにより、前記クレーン架台用デッキ4が前記切欠き凹部2aの各辺によって多面的に支持された構造とする第4ステップと、前記クレーン架台用デッキ4に大型クレーン6を搭載する第5ステップとからなる。【選択図】図1
