To provide a train monitoring system that recognizes occurrence of abnormal situations quickly and reliably.SOLUTION: A speed signal is output as two values, H for a speed equal to or more than 5 km/h and L for a speed less than 5 km/h. A door status is output from a train side to a control unit as an open/close signal expressed as two values, L for a closed state and H for an open state. By receiving such a speed signal and an open/close signal as train status signals, the control unit can recognize a time point when the speed state changes and a time point when the door open/close state changes. If a period when getting-on and -off passengers are likely to be near a door at the time the train stops is set as a period when objects to be detected should be especially appropriately recognized, such a period can be set from a time point when the door is opened (B) to a time point when the train departs (D). During this period, a frame rate is set high and picture quality is set high, and outside this period, the frame rate is set low and the picture quality is set low.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6

    【課題】列車監視システムにおいて、異常事態の発生を迅速かつ確実に認識する。【解決手段】速度信号は、速度が5km/h以上となるH、速度が5km/h未満となるLの2値として出力される。ドアの状態は、閉状態がL、開状態がHとなる2値として表される開閉信号として、列車側から制御部に出力される。このような速度信号、開閉信号を、列車状態信号として制御部が受信することによって、制御部は、速度状態が変化した時点、ドアの開閉状態が変化した時点を認識することができる。列車の停車時に乗降客がドアの近傍にいる可能性が高い期間を、検知対象物を特に適切に認識すべき期間と設定した場合、ドアが開状態となった時点(B)から、発車の時点(D)までを、このような期間とすることができる。この期間においては、フレームレートを高く、画質を高画質としており、この期間外においては、フレームレートを低く、画質を低画質としている。【選択図】図6
