To provide a diver monitoring method and a diver monitoring system which are simpler as compared to existing underwater work systems and can always rescue quickly.SOLUTION: A diver monitoring system comprises communication means (1) capable of communicating between divers (31, 32) underwater and a correspondent (33) who is a worker on the water, and breath sound visualizing means (2) that the correspondent (33) of the worker on the water visualizes the breath sound of the divers (31, 32) transmitted by the communication means (1). The breath sound visualizing means (2) converts the breath sound of the divers (31, 32) into sound information and visualizes the converted sound information by breath sound indicators (21, 22). The strength of the visualized sound information by the breath sound indicators (21, 22) is displayed on display parts (21A, 22A) based on a difference in bar graph notation length.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
