To provide removal and a removal method of excessive ammonia in a vessel.SOLUTION: Removal equipment of excessive ammonia in a vessel includes: a scrubber device 21 composed of a scrubber tower 21A which treats separated gas G1 containing ammonia and a neutralization tank 21B which is provided to be communicated with the just under side of the scrubber tower 21A; a scrubber water supply device 25 which introduces scrubber water 26 to the scrubber tower 21A; a primary receiver tank 27 which primarily stores treated water 30 neutralized in the neutralization tank 21B; a circulation line L21 which extracts treated water 30 treated in the neutralization tank 21B and circulates the treated water as circulation liquid 30a on the lower part side of a filling part of the scrubber tower; a neutralizer supply tank 23 which introduces neutralizer to the circulation liquid. Therein, supply of separation gas G1 containing ammonia is carried-out by batch processing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
