To provide a switching control device for a relay that can improve the durability of a relay while keeping an electric circuit compact, and a method, a program and a vehicle.SOLUTION: A switching control device is configured to: perform positive electrode preceding control which outputs a signal for bringing a negative electrode relay into conduction when it is requested that a power supply and an electric device be brought into conduction, under a condition that an elapsed time since output of a signal for bringing a positive electrode relay into conduction is equal to a predetermined time or longer; and perform negative electrode preceding control which outputs a signal for bringing the positive electrode relay into conduction when it is requested that the power supply and the electric device be brought into conduction, under a condition that an elapsed time since output of a signal for bringing the negative electrode relay into conduction is equal to the predetermined time or longer. When the number of times the power supply and the electric device are brought into conduction has reached or exceeded a predetermined number of times, the positive electrode preceding control and the negative electrode preceding control are switched (step S5).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
