To provide a rail guard for a railway vehicle capable of reducing a moment force rotating a vehicle body, which is generated by a collision reaction force and reducing the possibility of derailment of the railway vehicle when the railway vehicle collides with an obstacle with a large mass such as a standard-sized passenger car.SOLUTION: A rail guard 10 of a railway vehicle is mounted on a leading part 1S of a railway vehicle 1 so as to remove an obstacle S on a track. The rail guard includes a rail guard plate 21 in which a lower end part 212 is formed to be movable backward in the advancing direction with respect to an upper end part 211 when an external force of a predetermined load or more acts on the rail guard toward the rear side of the advancing direction. A vehicle body underframe 2 is provided with a stopper structure 22 for stopping the movement of the rail guard plate at a position where a normal line HS with respect to a vertical intermediate part of the rail guard plate passes through a predetermined range W including a first normal line HS1 passing through the center of gravity SJ of the railway vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6

    【課題】普通乗用車等のように質量の大きな障害物と衝突した場合において、その衝突反力によって生じる車体を回転させるモーメント力を低減させて、鉄道車両の脱線する可能性を軽減できる鉄道車両の排障器を提供する。【解決手段】鉄道車両1の先頭部1Sに装着され、線路上の障害物Sを排除可能に形成された鉄道車両の排障器10である。排障器には、当該排障器に進行方向後方へ所定の荷重以上の外力が作用した時に、上端部211に対して下端部212が進行方向後方へ移動可能に形成された排障板21を備え、車体台枠2には、排障板の上下中間部に対する法線HSが鉄道車両の車体重心SJを通過する第1法線HS1を含む所定の範囲Wを通過する位置で排障板の移動を停止させるストッパ構造22を備えている。【選択図】 図6
