To improve vertical ride quality of a railway vehicle truck and eliminate the need of maintenance of a vertical damping device mounted on a primary spring.SOLUTION: A railway vehicle truck includes an axle spring arranged between a truck frame and an axle box and having elasticity in the vertical direction and a vertical damping mechanism provided inside the axle spring and exhibiting vertical damping force due to eddy current resistance. The vertical damping mechanism includes an outer cylinder arranged on an upper part of the axle box and an inner cylinder extended to the axle box from the truck frame side and positioned inside the outer cylinder. The vertical damping mechanism has an eddy current generation part in which a conductor is arranged inside the outer cylinder, a magnetic field generation part in which annular permanent magnets are vertically arranged in plural stages in the inner cylinder side surface part, and a gap larger than a longitudinal deviation amount assumed during traveling of the vehicle between the eddy current generation part and the magnetic field generation part. Magnetization directions of the permanent magnets are arranged to be gradually shifted by 90 degrees in the same direction toward an axle box lower part (the Halbach array).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】鉄道車両用台車において、上下乗り心地の向上および1次ばねに搭載される上下減衰装置のメンテナンス不要化を実現する。【解決手段】鉄道車両用台車において、台車枠と軸箱との間に配備されて上下方向に弾性を有する軸ばねと、前記軸ばね内部に設けられ、渦電流抵抗による上下減衰力を発揮する上下減衰機構と、を備える。前記上下減衰機構は、前記軸箱の上部に配備された外筒と、前記台車枠側から前記軸箱に伸ばされて前記外筒の内側に位置する内筒とを備え、前記外筒内に導電体を配備した渦電流発生部を有し、前記内筒側面部に、環状の永久磁石を上下方向に多段配備した磁界発生部を有し、前記渦電流発生部と前記磁界発生部との間に、車両走行時に想定される前後偏倚量より大きい間隙を有し、前記永久磁石の着磁方向は、軸箱下部に向かうにつれて同方向に90度ずつずらした配置(ハルバッハ配列)である。【選択図】図2
