To realize a ball joint device which can improve responsiveness at the time of right and left turning of a vehicle and steering stability.SOLUTION: A ball joint device 100 comprises: a ball joint 20; a permanent magnet 27 which is arranged at a spherical part 22 of a ball stud 21; an electromagnet unit 30 which generates magnetic force through energization of exciting current; an acceleration sensor 44; and a control device 41. The control device 41 energizes, when a lateral acceleration signal that is a prescribed threshold value or more is inputted from the acceleration sensor 44, exciting current in the electromagnet unit 30 to generate suction force or repulsive force relative to the permanent magnet in which a direction of the force is opposite to the direction of external force applied to the ball joint 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
