To provide a side collision energy absorption structure capable of avoiding split of a door trim while exhibiting excellent side collision energy absorption performance.SOLUTION: A side collision energy absorption structure 2 includes an energy absorber 10 composed of a resin molding separate from a door trim 1. The energy absorber 10 has a deformation scheduled part 110 protruding outside in a vehicle width direction and a plurality of fitting flange parts 121, 122, 123 formed at an end part on the door trim side of the deformation scheduled part 110. In holes 121a, 122a, 125 of the fitting flange parts 121, 122, 123, boss parts 6, 7, 8 of the door trim 1 are inserted and fixed. A slot 125 of the fitting flange part 123 is composed of a long hole. The slot 125 extends from the boss part 8 and approaches the deformation scheduled part 110.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
