To provide a noise reduction shroud for an aircraft configured to at least partially enclose a noise source including a propeller.SOLUTION: A shroud 100 includes an outer layer 102 and two or more sound absorbing materials (material layers 306 and 308) located inside the shroud. The outer layer includes recesses 302 located and sized to transmit noise from a noise source (propeller 202) to the interior of the shroud and/or to partially enclose at least a portion of a blade tip of at least one propeller blade.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
