To provide a vehicle door handle device capable of mitigating shock when a handle member reaches an opening operation limit position without affecting the strength of a part that receives the shock.SOLUTION: A vehicle door handle device 1 is configured such that a bell crank 4 that rotates in a first rotation direction R1 in conjunction with a door opening operation of a handle member 2 is urged by a torsion coil spring in a second rotation direction R2 opposite to the first rotation direction R1, in which immediately before the handle member reaches an opening operation limit position with the door opening operation, one end 51 of the torsion coil spring 5 comes into contact with a base member 3 (support member) for supporting the other end 52, and during a period from the contact until the handle member reaches the opening operation limit position, the one end 51 per se under the contact is pressed against the base member 3 to generate an elastic deformation, and the bell crank 4 is additionally urged in the second rotation direction R2 to decelerate the door opening operation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
