To provide a method for reducing exhaust gas of a hybrid vehicle and a control device for reducing the same capable of further reducing exhaust gas while using drive force of an internal combustion engine and a motor in an appropriate balance.SOLUTION: When a temperature of a NOx purification catalyst 6 is equal to or less than an activation temperature and driver demand drive force is less than a drive source switchover threshold which is a reference threshold, only a motor 2 is selected as a drive source for vehicle travel. In contrast, an engine 1 is put into an operation state in a special region corresponding to a preset operation state minimizing an exhaust gas amount with an exhaust temperature reaching a temperature suitable for setting a temperature of the NOx purification catalyst 6 to an activation temperature. Thus, exhaust gas can be reduced with efficiency higher than conventional efficiency while drive force of the engine 1 and the motor 2 is used in an appropriate balance.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】内燃機関とモータの駆動力を適切なバランスで用いつつ、さらなる排出ガス低減を可能とするハイブリッド車排出ガス低減方法及びハイブリット車排出ガス低減制御装置を提供する。【解決手段】Nox浄化触媒6の温度が、活性化温度以下であって、ドライバ要求駆動力が基準閾値である駆動源切替閾値を下回る場合、モータ2のみが車両走行の駆動源とされる一方、エンジン1は、排気温度がNox浄化触媒6の温度を活性化温度とするに適した温度となり、かつ、排出ガス量が最小となる予め設定された運転状態である特定領域において運転状態とされることで、エンジン1とモータ2の駆動力を適切なバランスで用いつつ、従来に比してより効率的な排出ガス低減を可能としている。【選択図】図1
