To provide a communication device capable of reducing an amount of data when exchanging a feature ID for automatic driving between vehicles.SOLUTION: In a communication device, a block ID for identifying each map block is assigned to each map block in a map block group including map blocks wider than a communicable range between vehicles and having the number corresponding to the communicable range; map data where a feature ID for identifying a positioning marker in each map block in the map block is assigned to the positioning marker is acquired; and device position data including the feature ID and a block ID of the map block including the positioning marker identified by the feature ID is generated and transmitted to other vehicles.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
