To provide an attack angle estimation method and the like capable of obtaining excellent estimation accuracy in a wide region.SOLUTION: An attack angle estimation method is configured to acquire lateral pressure Q of right and left wheels, longitudinal tangential force T, and a contact phase difference Δθ, which is an angle difference around an axle of contact positions between the right and left wheels and rails, as observation amounts based on output of strain gauges provided on right and left wheels 31 of a railway vehicle 1, acquire a rail curvature of the track on which the wheels travel, acquire the traveling speed of the railway vehicle, and estimate an attack angle and the contact positions of the right and left wheels by using a plant model and an observer of the right and left wheels.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】広範な領域で良好な推定精度が得られるアタック角推定方法等を提供する。【解決手段】アタック角推定方法を、鉄道車両1の左右の車輪31に設けたひずみゲージの出力に基づいて、左右の車輪の横圧Q、前後接線力T、及び、左右の車輪のレールとの接触位置の車軸回りの角度差である接触位相差Δθを観測量としてそれぞれ取得し、車輪が走行する軌道のレール曲率を取得し、鉄道車両の走行速度を取得し、左右の前記車輪のプラントモデル及びオブザーバを用いて、アタック角及び左右の車輪の接触位置を推定する構成とする。【選択図】図2
