To prevent an inter-vehicular distance from changing due to difference in drive force responsiveness which is caused by deviated timings of shifting among automatic transmissions of vehicles participating a convoy and prevent the convoy from breaking.SOLUTION: A convoy travelling system executes shifting of automatic transmissions in the order from a vehicle on a trailing end side of the vehicles participating a convoy (S5-S7), accordingly, drive force responsiveness increases from a vehicle on the trailing end side because the shifting causes a margin in the output control of the drive force source of the vehicle and which enables the vehicles to properly follow respective preceding vehicles while maintaining a target inter-vehicle distance relative to the preceding vehicles, thereby suppressing breaking of the convoy when shifting the automatic transmissions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
