To provide an elevator system utilizing face recognition which enhances user convenience.SOLUTION: The elevator system includes an image capturing unit (25), a face recognition unit (100), an information acquisition unit (25, 29), and a destination floor setting unit (100 or 10). If face recognition is successful and no destination floor change information is obtained, then the destination floor setting unit sets as the user's destination floor a default destination floor specified based on the face recognition. If face recognition is successful and destination floor change information is obtained, the destination floor setting unit sets as the user's destination floor a changed destination floor specified based on the destination floor change information. The information acquisition unit has at least one of a first information acquisition unit (25), which acquires the destination floor change information in a first format corresponding to the building, and a second information acquisition unit (29), which acquires the destination floor change information in a second format corresponding to the building.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
