To provide a power storage amount control device and a power storage amount control method for suppressing power shortage or power non-utilization.SOLUTION: A power storage amount control device 11 that controls amounts of power storage of a plurality of power storage devices 2 each of which stores electric power from a system power supply and supplies electric power to a corresponding load, includes: an estimated power consumption amount acquisition unit 17 that acquires a value of a parameter indicating an estimated amount of power consumption of the load; a power storage amount setting unit 18 that sets a target amount of power storage of the power storage device, based on a value of the parameter indicating the estimated amount of power consumption; and a transmission unit 19 that transmits a signal to each power storage device such that the amount of power storage of the power storage device becomes equal to or larger than the target amount of power storage set by the power storage amount setting unit. The power storage amount setting unit sets the target power storage amount of the power storage device that supplies power to the load whose estimated power consumption amount indicated by the parameter is relatively large, so as to be larger than the target power storage amount of the power storage device that supplies power to the load whose estimated power consumption amount indicated by the parameter is relatively small.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
