To prevent a linear motion member from getting too close to a retraction side regulation part by execution of release processing without increasing the size of an actuator.SOLUTION: An actuator 30 of an electric parking braking device 20 includes an electric motor 31, a linear motion member 55 and a flange part 53. When the linear motion member 55 moves in a forward direction X1, a brake shoe is pressed against the inner peripheral surface of a brake drum to generate a parking brake. A control device 80 of the electric parking braking device 20 executes, when releasing the parking brake, release processing of reversely driving the electric motor 31 from the time point at which it is determined that the motor current becomes constant to the elapse of the release time. The control device 80 executes shortening processing of changing the release time such that the release time becomes shorter as the interval between the brake shoe and the inner peripheral surface at the time of non-actuation of the drum brake is narrower.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】アクチュエータを大型化しなくても、リリース処理の実行によって直動部材が後退側規制部に接近しすぎることを抑制できるようにすること。【解決手段】電動駐車制動装置20のアクチュエータ30は、電気モータ31と直動部材55とフランジ部53とを備えるとともに、直動部材55が前進方向X1に移動すると、ブレーキシューをブレーキドラムの内周面に押し付けて駐車ブレーキを発生させる。電動駐車制動装置20の制御装置80は、駐車ブレーキを解除する場合、モータ電流が一定になったと判定される時点からリリース時間が経過するまで電気モータ31を逆転駆動させるリリース処理を実行する。制御装置80は、ドラムブレーキの非作動時におけるブレーキシューと上記内周面との間隔が狭いほどリリース時間が短くなるようにリリース時間を変更する短縮処理を実行する。【選択図】図2
