To provide a polyimide film which is excellent in resistance to an atomic oxygen derived from an oxygen molecule that is an air residual component and less generates an outgas component accompanying heating, when being applied as a material for a spacecraft, and a polyimide used in the same.SOLUTION: A polyimide for a spacecraft has a structural unit derived from diamine, and a structural unit derived from an aromatic acid dianhydride, contains at least a structural unit derived from silicon-containing diamine represented by the following formula (1), provided that the number average molecular weight is 500 or less, as the structural unit derived from the diamine, and has a ratio of the structural unit derived from the silicon-containing diamine to the whole structural unit derived from the diamine of 5-100 mol%. In the formula (1), R1 and R2 are each independently a divalent aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 3 to 20 carbon atoms, R3, R4, R5 and R6 are each independently a monovalent aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, and m is 1 or 2.SELECTED DRAWING: None
