To realize an onboard display device with which a sense of seamlessness between a black-bordered part and a display panel is obtained, without requiring complex optical design.SOLUTION: The onboard display device comprises a circular polarizing plate, an OLED panel as a display panel, and a black-bordered part that encloses the display region of the OLED panel, these being arranged by superimposition, the absorption axis direction of the circular polarizing plate being a prescribed bearing with respect to the OLED panel. For the case where the eyepoint of an occupant watching the OLED panel and the OLED panel are fixed and the absorption axis of the circular polarizing plate is rotated around a normal direction as an axis that passes through the center of the display surface of the OLED panel, a color difference between the black-bordered part and the display panel seen from an eyepoint is defined as ΔE.
