To give information of an appropriate break point according to a vehicle type to a driver when a break is required.SOLUTION: An on-vehicle unit 10 of each vehicle 51 detects occurrence of a break and transmits data of a break result including a position, a travel direction, a vehicle type, and time to a server 60. The server 60 collects result data from each vehicle 51 to create a result database divided for every vehicle type. When a driver of each vehicle 51 becomes a state of requiring the break, the server 60 retrieves the result database, and selects information of the optimal break point to be transmitted to the on-vehicle unit 10 on the basis of a current position, the travel direction, and the vehicle type, etc. of an object vehicle. The on-vehicle unit 10 presents the received information of the break point to the driver. A break point at a place except on a service scheduled route of the object vehicle can also be presented. A break point which is easily used even by a large vehicle can be preferentially presented by selecting the break point suitable for the travel direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】休憩が必要なときに車種に応じた適切な休憩地の情報を運転手に与えること。【解決手段】各車両51の車載器10は、休憩の発生を検知して、位置、進行方向、車種、時間を含む休憩実績のデータをサーバ60に送信する。サーバ60は実績データを各車両51から収集して車種毎に区分された実績データベースを作る。各車両51の運転手が休憩の必要な状態になると、対象車両の現在位置、進行方向、車種等に基づき、サーバ60が実績データベースを検索して最適な休憩地の情報を選定し車載器10に送信する。車載器10は受信した休憩地の情報を運転手に提示する。対象車両の運行予定経路上以外の場所にある休憩地も提示できる。進行方向に適した休憩地を選定することで、大型車両でも利用しやすい休憩地を優先的に提示できる。【選択図】図1
