To call appropriate attention of a pedestrian to an approach of a vehicle.SOLUTION: An on-vehicle communication device is mounted on a vehicle and includes: a detection section for detecting a pedestrian existing in the periphery of the vehicle; and a transmission section for transmitting a notice for the pedestrian to a terminal device of the pedestrian. The detection section transmits a search signal to detect the terminal device. When a response notice indicating a response with respect to the search signal is received from the terminal device, the transmission section transmits a detection notice indicating that the vehicle has detected the pedestrian.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
