To estimate load value representing magnitude of an external force applied to a wheel or magnitude of a load for a component receiving external force in a hydraulic brake system without using a force detection sensor.SOLUTION: A hydraulic control actuator 12 includes an electrically-driven piston 42 and a reservoir 50. A wheel side piston 27 and a caliper 24 in a hydraulic brake 10 are, since a brake rotation body 20 integrated with a wheel swings or the like when external force is applied to the wheel, relatively displaced so that hydraulic fluid of a wheel cylinder 25 returns to the reservoir, and the electrically-driven piston returns. Load value representing magnitude of an external force applied to the wheel or magnitude of a load for a component receiving external force which is a component affected by the external force is estimated based on change state of detection value of a hydraulic fluid amount detection device 90 which detects the hydraulic fluid amount that is amount of hydraulic fluid stored in the reservoir or acquisition value of a piston displacement acquisition device which acquires displacement of the electrically-driven piston.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】液圧ブレーキシステムにおいて、力検出センサによることなく、車輪に加えられた外力の大きさや、外力受け部材に加えられる負荷の大きさを表す負荷値を推定する。【解決手段】電動ピストン42とリザーバ50とを含む液圧制御アクチュエータ12。車輪に外力が加えられると、車輪と一体のブレーキ回転体20が揺れる事等に起因して、液圧ブレーキ10において、ピストンであるホイール側ピストン27とキャリパ24とが相対移動させられ、ホイールシリンダ25の作動液がリザーバに戻されたり、電動ピストンが戻されたりする。リザーバに収容された作動液の量である作動液量を検出する作動液量検出装置90の検出値の変化状態や電動ピストンの変位を取得するピストン変位取得装置の取得値等に基づき、車輪に加えられた外力の大きさや、外力の影響を受ける部材である外力受け部材が受ける負荷の大きさを表す負荷値を推定する。【選択図】図1
