To provide technology such as a meteorological observation system that can reduce the weight of a moving object.SOLUTION: A meteorological observation system comprises a transmitter and a moving object. The transmitter emits an electromagnetic wave for meteorological observation. The moving object receives a scattered wave generated by scattering of the electromagnetic wave due to a meteorological phenomenon, and observes the meteorological phenomenon based on the scattered wave.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
