To make communication work in a network regardless of the state of a communication device connected to the network.SOLUTION: A communication device has: a first communication interface for a first transmission line; a second communication interface for a second transmission line; a control unit that controls a communication path of a signal received by the first communication interface in the communication device; and a processing unit that executes predetermined processing on the received signal. When the communication device is in a first state, the control unit outputs the received signal to the second communication interface through the processing unit, and when the communication device is in a second state, outputs the received signal to the second communication interface not through the processing unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
