To provide power supply equipment that makes it easier to insert a connector into an inlet, and a control method of the power supply equipment.SOLUTION: In a power supply system 1, power supply equipment (charging stand) 300 capable of supplying electric power to a vehicle 200 on the ground includes: a connector 302 connected to an inlet 220 of the vehicle; a movable portion 300a including a specific portion (housing space) 305 in which the connector is placed when the connector is not connected to the inlet and displaceable between a position at which the specific portion is stored underground and a position at which the specific portion is exposed on the ground; an actuator that displaces the movable portion of a lifting device 306; and a controller 308 that controls the actuator. The controller adjusts a position of the specific portion when the specific portion is exposed on the ground according to a height of the inlet of the vehicle that is a power supply target.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
