To provide a hermetic rolling bearing capable of suppressing occurrence of negative pressure in a bearing space without depending on a rotation direction of a bearing, and excellent in both sealability and low torque.SOLUTION: A hermetic rolling bearings comprises: an outward member 2 and a hub wheel 4 that rotate concentrically relative to each other; a rolling element 7 arranged so as to be able to roll between the outward member 2 and the hub ring 4; a lubricant enclosed in a bearing space between the outward member 2 and the hub ring 4; and a seal member 18 that is fixed to the outward member 2 and seals the bearing space, where the hub ring 4 is provided with a sliding contact surface on which the seal member 18 slides. A sliding contact surface 19 of the hub wheel 4 on which the seal member 18 slides has an axial arithmetic mean roughness of 0.45 μm or less and a circumferential arithmetic mean roughness of 0.05 μm or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
