To execute safety processing even when a primary side and a secondary side of a transformer included in a relay drive circuit are short-circuited.SOLUTION: A relay drive circuit (10) drives a relay (90) including a coil unit (91) and a contact portion (92). The relay drive circuit includes a transformer (20), an output circuit (30) outputting an alternating signal of a predetermined voltage to a primary side coil (21) based on output of a railway laser radar (80), and a rectifier circuit (40). A turn ratio between the primary side coil and the secondary side coil (22) is set such that the voltage input in the coil unit when inputting the alternating signal in the primary side coil becomes higher than an operation voltage of the relay and lower than an upper limit voltage of the coil unit if the primary side coil and the secondary side coil are not short-circuited with each other. The predetermined voltage is set such that the voltage input in the coil unit when inputting the alternating signal in the primary side coil becomes lower than a restoration voltage of the relay when the primary side coil and the secondary side coil are short-circuited with each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
