To estimate posture state information indicating a posture state of an occupant of a seat for a vehicle accompanied by the occupant becoming moist, using electric characteristics of a seat for a vehicle including a flexible material having conductivity without using a special detection device.SOLUTION: An estimation device detects, in a detection part, electric characteristics between a plurality of detection points in a seat for a vehicle having a flexible material having conductivity whose electric characteristics change according to a change in an applied pressure and moisture. An estimation unit estimates a posture state of an occupant of the seat for a vehicle from the electric characteristics of the seat for a vehicle using a learning model. Using the electric characteristics when a pressure and moisture are applied to the seat for a vehicle, and the posture state information indicating a posture state accompanied by the occupant applying a pressure and moisture to the seat for a vehicle becoming moist as learning data, the electric characteristics are input to the learning model that has learned so as to output the posture state information with the electric characteristics as input, and learning is executed so as to output the posture state accompanied by the occupant becoming moist corresponding to the input electric characteristics.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】特殊な検出装置を用いることなく、導電性を有する柔軟材料を備えた車両用シートの電気特性を利用して、車両用シートの乗員の含水を伴う姿勢状態を示す姿勢状態情報を推定する。【解決手段】推定装置は導電性を有し、かつ付与された圧力及び水分の変化に応じて電気特性が変化する柔軟材料を備えた車両用シートにおける複数の検出点の間の電気特性を検出部で検出する。推定部は、学習モデルを用いて車両用シートの電気特性から車両用シートの乗員の姿勢状態を推定する。車両用シートに圧力及び水分を与えた際の電気特性と、車両用シートに圧力及び水分を与える乗員の含水を伴う姿勢状態を示す姿勢状態情報とを学習用データとして用いて、その電気特性を入力とし、姿勢状態情報を出力するように学習された学習モデルに対して、電気特性を入力し、入力した電気特性に対応する乗員の含水を伴う姿勢状態を出力するように学習される。【選択図】図1
