To provide a tire groove depth calculation method and a tire groove depth calculation device that are capable of improving measurement accuracy of the depth of a tire groove.SOLUTION: A tire groove depth calculation method comprises: a data acquisition step of acquiring three-dimensional coordinate data representing a point group included in a surface in a tread part of a tire; a normal line calculation step of calculating a normal line vector of a surface at each point included in the point group on the basis of the coordinate data acquired in the data acquisition step; a movement position calculation step of calculating a position where the point included in the point group has been moved in a direction based on the normal line vector calculated in the normal line calculation step; an adjacent point calculation step of finding most adjacent points before and after the movement of the point performed in the movement position calculation step; and a groove depth calculation step of calculating the depth of a tire groove on the basis of comparison of the most adjacent points between before and after the movement found in the adjacent point calculation step.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】タイヤ溝の深さの計測精度を向上することができるタイヤ溝算出方法およびタイヤ溝算出装置を提供する。【解決手段】タイヤ溝算出方法は、データ取得ステップによってタイヤのトレッド部における表面に含まれる点群を表す3次元座標データを取得する。法線算出ステップでは、データ取得ステップにより取得した座標データに基づき、点群に含まれる各点における表面の法線ベクトルを算出する。移動位置算出ステップでは、点群に含まれる点を、法線算出ステップにより算出した法線ベクトルに基づく方向へ移動をさせた位置を算出する。隣接点算出ステップでは、移動位置算出ステップによる点の移動前後の最隣接点を求める。溝深さ算出ステップでは、隣接点算出ステップによって求めた移動前後の最隣接点の比較に基づいてタイヤ溝の深さを算出する。【選択図】図3
