A CPU 61 detects that an engagement unit 53 of a lanyard 50 is disengaged from a connection 32c of a layard switch 32, acquires a vessel speed V as a physical quantity, and determines a state of radio communication between a radio slave 54 and a communication unit 70. The CPU 61 controls an engine 64 based on a detection result of whether or not the engagement unit 53 is disengaged from the connection 32c, the acquired vessel speed V, and the state of radio communication between the radio slave 54 and the communication unit 70.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
