To provide a contactless power transmission system, a position estimation method, a mobile, and a power transmission equipment that accurately detects the relative positional relationship between the resonant circuit on the transmission side and the resonant circuit on the receiving side during contactless power transmission by magnetic field resonance coupling between a mobile and a ground-side device.SOLUTION: A contactless power transmission system 1 performs contactless power transmission by magnetic field resonance coupling between the ground-side device 2 and the vehicle 3, and has a power transmission side resonance circuit 43 that transmits power, a power receiving side resonance circuit 51 that receives power from the power transmission side resonance circuit, an AC magnetic field generating circuit 6 that generates an AC magnetic field for detecting the relative positional relationship between the power transmission side resonance circuit and the power receiving side resonance circuit, and a magnetic field detector 7 that detects the AC magnetic field. The frequency of the AC magnetic field for position detection is different from the resonance frequency of the power transmission side resonance circuit and the power receiving side resonance circuit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
