To realize efficient safety design even when an environment or conditions of an autonomous mobile vehicle which moves in a set area is changed.SOLUTION: A safety design support apparatus includes: a context input unit for inputting a context including information on the outside of an autonomous mobile vehicle; a characteristic element determination unit which determines a characteristic element which is related to the context, from characteristic element information of the autonomous mobile vehicle; and a fault mode extraction unit which extracts a fault mode of the characteristic element related to the input context, from a fault tree representing a fault mode of the characteristic element of the autonomous mobile vehicle in a tree structure; and a safety mechanism extraction unit which searches and extracts a safety mechanism corresponding to the fault mode, from safety mechanism result information formed by accumulating information on safety mechanisms of autonomous mobile vehicles developed in the past.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
