To provide a method for controlling a vehicular air conditioner and a vehicular air conditioner which can determine a failure in a compressor due to the sticking of a clutch, and which can prevent stop of a driving machine by eliminating the sticking of the clutch.SOLUTION: In a vehicular air conditioner 1 comprising a compressor 3 to which power of an engine 2 is transmitted via an electromagnetic clutch 5, an electronic control unit 21 detects a revolution speed of the engine 2 and detects a compression pressure of the compressor 3 corresponding to the revolution speed, and determines whether sticking occurs in the electromagnetic clutch 5 on the basis of a change in the detected revolution speed and a change in the detected compression pressure. When determining that the sticking occurs in the electromagnetic clutch 5, even after an instruction to stop the compressor 3 is provided, the electronic control unit 21 controls the revolution speed of the engine 2 so that torque generated by the engine 2 becomes greater than reference torque set so as to correspond to a state where the electromagnetic clutch 5 of the compressor 3 is disconnected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】クラッチの固着によるコンプレッサの故障を判定可能であり、かつ、該クラッチの固着の解消を図ることで駆動機の停止を防ぐことができる、車両用空調装置の制御方法および車両用空調装置を提供する。【解決手段】エンジン2の動力が電磁クラッチ5を介して伝達されるコンプレッサ3を備えた車両用空調装置1において、電子制御ユニット21が、エンジン2の回転数を検出するとともに、該回転数に対応したコンプレッサ3の圧縮圧力を検出し、該検出した回転数の変化と圧縮圧力の変化とを基に、電磁クラッチ5で固着が発生しているか否かを判定し、電磁クラッチ5の固着発生を判定した場合、コンプレッサ3を停止させる指示が与えられた後であっても、エンジン2で発生するトルクが、コンプレッサ3の電磁クラッチ5が遮断された状態に対応して設定される基準トルクよりも大きくなるように、エンジン2の回転数を制御する。【選択図】図1
