To provide a vehicle body structure of a vehicle capable of achieving both enhancement of a vibration damping property and improvement in productivity of a vehicle and a method of manufacturing the vehicle body.SOLUTION: A vehicle body structure of a vehicle includes a side sill outer 20 extended in the longitudinal direction, a side sill inner 30 forming a closed cross section extended in the longitudinal direction in cooperation with the side sill outer 20, an outer front joint member 21 having a side wall part 21c fixed to an inner side in the vehicle width direction and approximately orthogonal to the vehicle width direction of the side sill outer 20, an inner front joint member 31 having an outer flange part 31c fixed to the outer side in the vehicle width direction and approximately orthogonal to the vehicle width direction of the side sill inner 30 to face the side wall part 21c, and a vibration damping adhesive member B bonding between the side wall part 21c and the outer flange part 31c and capable of damping vibration. A front end part of the side wall part 21c in the longitudinal direction of the side sill 2 and a front end part of the outer flange part 31c are formed to offset a prescribed distance in the longitudinal direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
