To provide a vibration damping structure capable of achieving high vibration damping effects without lowering the rigidity of the structure itself.SOLUTION: A vibration damping structure 1 includes a panel 10 as a structure, and a damping material 11 joined to the panel 10, the damping material 11 having a plurality of joint parts 11b joined at their joint surfaces 11d to a mating surface 10a of the panel 10 in an X direction, and a plurality of separation parts 11a recessed to the opposite side to the panel 10 in a Z direction between the adjacent joint parts 11b, the damping material 11 being formed to show higher damping than the panel 10 and also formed so that the resonant frequency of the damping material 11 is almost the same as the primary resonant frequency of the panel 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】構造体自体の剛性を低下させることなく、高い振動減衰効果を得ることができる振動減衰構造を提供する。【解決手段】振動減衰構造1は、構造体であるパネル10と、パネル10に接合される減衰材11とを備える。減衰材11は、X方向において、それぞれの接合面11dでパネル10の合わせ面10aと接合される複数の接合部11bと、隣り合う接合部11b同士の間でZ方向のパネル10とは反対側に凹入した複数の離間部11aとを有する。減衰材11は、パネル10よりも高減衰となるように形成されているとともに、減衰材11の共振周波数がパネル10の1次の共振周波数に略同一となるように形成されている。【選択図】図2
