To suppress an occurrence of a swirl in a wing end of a blade and an increase in frictional loss occurring during propulsion of a vessel.SOLUTION: A vessel propulsion device for propelling a vessel comprises: a duct provided below a hull of the vessel; and a propeller arranged to be rotatable inside the duct. The propeller includes blades and a cylinder member which is a cylindrical surrounding the blades and fixed to the wing ends of the blades. In a cross-section view in an extending direction of the duct, when a virtual line passing a front edge end and a rear edge end of the duct is defined as a first line, and a line connecting a center of an inscription circle in contact with both of an inner periphery surface and an outer periphery surface of the duct from the front edge end to the rear dege end is defined as a second line, the second line is positioned on an outer periphery surface side of the duct compared to the first line.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
