To provide a mark detector that can detect a mark in a tire having a mark applied to a rear surface thereof, with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a mark detector 4 for a tire 18 having a rear surface 20 and a front surface 22 facing the rear surface 20, and having a mark 24 applied to the rear surface 20. The detector 4 includes: a mirror 12 located in a further rear side than the tire 18 for reflecting light from the mark 24; and a receiver 14 located in a further front side than the tire 18 for receiving light 34 reflected by the mirror 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
