To provide a vehicle controller capable of allowing a vehicle to change lanes at an appropriate position.SOLUTION: A vehicle controller includes a detection unit 31 that detects a type of a lane mark line, which marks an own lane in which a vehicle 10 is traveling, from a sensor signal which is generated by a sensor 3 mounted in the vehicle 10 and represents a situation around the vehicle 10, and a control unit 33 that, when a lane change into a lane adjacent to the own lane is requested, determines whether the type of a lane mark line between the own lane and adjacent lane at a present position of the vehicle 10, which is specified in map information, agrees with the detected type of the lane mark line, and that, when the type of the lane mark line specified in the map information agrees with the detected type of the lane mark line, controls the vehicle 10 so that the vehicle initiates the lane change to the adjacent lane.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】適切な位置で車両に車線変更を実施させることができる車両制御装置を提供する。【解決手段】車両制御装置は、車両10に搭載されたセンサ3により生成された、車両10周囲の状況を表すセンサ信号から、車両10が走行中の自車線を区画する車線区画線の種別を検出する検出部31と、自車線と隣接する隣接車線への車線変更が要求された場合において、地図情報に表された、車両10の現在位置における、自車線と隣接車線との間の車線区画線の種別と、検出された車線区画線の種別とが一致するか否か判定し、地図情報に表された車線区画線の種別と検出された車線区画線の種別とが一致する場合、隣接車線への車線変更を開始するよう車両10を制御する制御部33とを有する。【選択図】図3
