To provide a recovering method and a recovering system for a plastic piece which can return microorganisms existing in a water area to the water area, while efficiently recovering plastic pieces existing in water in the water area such as an ocean.SOLUTION: Water W in a water area A is sorted, using a cyclone type centrifugal separator 2, into microorganism-containing water W3 containing more microorganisms M ejected from an underflow outlet 2c of the centrifugal separator 2 and more high-density plastic pieces PH with relatively high densities, and low-density plastic piece-containing water W1 containing more low-density plastic pieces PL with relatively low densities ejected from an over flow outlet 2b of the centrifugal separator 2. Further, the low-density plastic pieces PL contained in the low-density plastic piece-containing water W1 are recovered and the microorganism-containing water W3 is returned to the water area A.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】海洋などの水域の水中に存在するプラスチック片を効率的に回収しつつ、水域に存在する微小生物を水域に戻すことができるプラスチック片の回収方法および回収システムを提供する。【解決手段】水域Aの水Wを、サイクロン式遠心分離装置2を用いて、遠心分離装置2のアンダーフロー出口2cから排出される微小生物Mおよび相対的に密度が高い高密度プラスチック片PHをより多く含む微小生物含有水W3と、遠心分離装置2のオーバーフロー出口2bから排出される相対的に密度が低い低密度プラスチック片PLをより多く含む低密度プラスチック片含有水W1とに分級する。そして、低密度プラスチック片含有水W1に含まれている低密度プラスチック片PLを回収し、微小生物含有水W3を水域Aに戻す。【選択図】図1
