To prevent a seismic control operation caused by abnormal operation of an earthquake sensor due to flooding, thus easily ensure the safety and convenience of users.SOLUTION: An elevator control system comprises an earthquake sensor 33 installed in the lower part of a hoistway 7 of an elevator EL, an earthquake sensor abnormality determination device 20 for acquiring an earthquake sensing signal from the earthquake sensor 33 and determining the validity as to whether the earthquake sensing signal is associated with the occurrence of an earthquake, and an elevator control unit 10 that causes the elevator EL to operate under an earthquake control mode when the validity of the earthquake sensing signal is determined to be valid by the earthquake sensor abnormality determination device 20. The earthquake sensor abnormality determination device 20 includes a validity determination processing section to determine the validity of the earthquake sensing signals, and a reset processing section to reset the earthquake sensor 33 when the validity of the earthquake signal is determined to be invalid by the validity determination processing section.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
