To provide an aircraft lighting unit capable of irradiating a region-to-be-irradiated with an appropriate illumination intensity.SOLUTION: An aircraft lighting unit is configured to comprise at least one light emitting element as a light source and an inner lens that irradiates toward a desired region with light emitted from the light emitting element, in which the inner lens includes a lens that splits light from the single light emitting element into different directions. With this aspect, it becomes possible to irradiate both a distant irradiation region and a nearby irradiation region, and to adjust luminous intensity by adjusting the amount of split light beams to thereby irradiate a region-to-be-irradiated with an appropriate illumination intensity.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
