To improve the restraint performance to an occupant seated toward the direction intersecting the inertial movement direction of himself/herself when the sudden acceleration occurs in a vehicle which does not have a restraint device like a seat belt and has a plurality of seats such that occupants can be seated so as surround a table provided in a cabin.SOLUTION: An occupant restraint device 10 comprises: a table 12 which is provided in a cabin 100a; a plurality of seats 16 which are arranged around the table 12; side airbags 18 which are provided on both sides of the seats 16 and expand to the lateral side of the seat 16 when the predetermined or greater acceleration acts on a vehicle 100; a space airbag 28 which expands between the side airbags 18 that develop mutually-adjacently from the mutually-adjacent seats 16 and transmits the inertial force of an occupant 80 who performs inertial movement from one side airbag 18 to the other side airbag 18; and a control unit 30.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】シートベルト等の拘束装置がなく、車内に設けられたテーブルを囲んで乗員が着座できるように複数のシートが設けられている車両において、車両に急激な加速度が生じたときに自身の慣性移動方向と交差する方向に向かって着座している乗員に対する拘束性能を向上させる。【解決手段】乗員拘束装置10は、車室100a内に設けられたテーブル12と、テーブル12の周りに配置された複数のシート16と、シート16の両側に設けられ、予め決められた以上の加速度が車両100に作用すると、シート16の側方に展開するサイドエアバッグ18と、互いに隣り合うシート16から互いに隣り合って展開するサイドエアバッグ18の間に展開し、慣性移動する乗員80の慣性力を一方のサイドエアバッグ18から他方のサイドエアバッグ18へ伝達するスペースエアバッグ28と、制御部30とを備える。【選択図】図1
