To provide a temporary stop line detection device which improves a determination rate that a temporary stop line ahead of the own vehicle is the temporary stop line on the own lane side.SOLUTION: A temporary stop line detection device 100 comprises: an imaging unit 10 which images the front side of a vehicle; and a control unit 20 that has a temporary stop line detection part which detects a temporary stop line candidate from a photographed image, a temporary stop line candidate end point detection part which detects both side end points in the longitudinal direction of the temporary stop line candidate, a temporary stop line candidate determination part which determines whether or not the length of the temporary stop line candidate calculated on the basis of both side end points of the temporary stop line candidate is equal to or greater than a predetermined length, a roadway end point acquisition unit which acquires both side end points of a roadway on the outer side in the width direction of the roadway to the temporary stop line candidate determined to be equal to or greater than the prescribed length, and an own lane side temporary stop line determination part which determines that the temporary stop line is the temporary stop line on the own lane side on the basis of a physical relation between both side end points of the temporary stop line candidate and both side end points of the roadway.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
