To provide a display device which comprises a display element, and when correcting the luminance change of the display element, reduces the number of times of updating a cumulative time, so that a storage capacity can be reduced.SOLUTION: A control unit 10 comprises: a cumulative time storage unit 118 which is a nonvolatile member for storing a cumulative time that represents an accumulation of reference time; and a difference calculation unit 119 for calculating a difference between a first luminance value on a reference curve in terms of the cumulative time stored in the cumulative time storage unit and a second luminance value on a reference curve in terms of an update cumulative time that is updated from the cumulative time at intervals of each reference time. When the difference calculated by the difference calculation unit becomes a predetermined prescribed value or more, the update cumulative time is updated as the next cumulative time and stored in the cumulative time storage unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
