To effectively enhance the rigidity of a brace.SOLUTION: A vehicle rear section structure includes: right and left rear side members 16; a rear suspension member 20 hung over between the rear side members 16; a rear floor panel 12 placed between the rear side members 16; and a brace 30 that connects each connection portion between the rear suspension member 20 and the rear side member 16 to the rear floor panel 12. Moreover, the brace 30 includes: a main plate 302 which includes one end portion connected to the connection portion between the rear suspension member 20 and the rear side member 16, and the other end portion connected to the rear floor panel, and which also includes an intermediate portion 36 between the one end portion and the other end portion; and a reinforcement plate 304 attached to the intermediate portion 36 of the main plate 302. The reinforcement plate 304 is connected to the intermediate portion of the main plate 302 at both sides in such a way that the center portion in the lengthwise direction is apart from the intermediate portion, and forms a closed cross-section at a portion where those are laid over on each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
