To provide an internal combustion engine for an aircraft which enables improvement of a fuel consumption rate.SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine for an aircraft includes: a gas turbine 2; a lubrication oil supply pipe 31 in which a lubrication oil circulates; a variable capacity electric pump 33 which supplies the lubrication oil to the gas turbine 2; a temperature detection unit 5 which detects a temperature of the lubrication oil; a supply amount detection unit 6 which detects a supply amount of the lubrication oil; a rotation number detection unit 4 which detects a rotation number of the gas turbine 2; and a control unit 7. The control unit 7 sets a target supply amount of the lubrication oil based on the rotation number of the gas turbine 2 detected by the rotation number detection unit 4 and the temperature of the lubrication oil detected by the temperature detection unit 5 and controls a discharge amount of the lubrication oil so that the supply amount of the lubrication oil detected by the supply amount detection unit 6 matches with the target supply amount.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
