To provide an underwater vehicle capable of reversibly increasing/decreasing ballast in order to repeat sinking, underwater navigation, and floating as well as being suitable for underwater navigation in deep sea.SOLUTION: An underwater vehicle includes: a tank 2 loaded on a machine body and having a gas unit and a volume variable liquid unit formed inside an inner space with a prescribed volume; and a water injection/drainage system 5. The water injection/drainage system includes: a reciprocating pump 6 having a pump suction opening 61 and a pump discharge opening 62; a water injection/drainage piping 7 for forming a water injection path from an intake opening for liquid to a liquid unit entrance/exit opening on a liquid unit 4 and the water drainage path from the liquid unit entrance/exit opening 21 to an outlet of liquid so that the flow of liquid passing the reciprocating pump is always one way from the pump suction opening to the pump discharge opening; and a path switching unit 9 for switching the flow path of the liquid flowing through the injection/drainage piping.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
