To provide an underwater imaging support unit and an underwater imaging system which, while stably supporting an imaging apparatus underwater, attain flexible adjustment of the position of the imaging device.SOLUTION: The underwater imaging support unit comprises: a base member including a horizontal rail part for guiding a horizontal movement; and a horizontal member which includes a horizontal engagement part engaging with the horizontal rail part and is capable of moving along a horizontal direction. The underwater imaging support unit also comprises an adjusting mechanism part including an elevation support member connected to the front side of the horizontal member and having the imaging apparatus mounted thereto, thereby attaining positional adjustment of the imaging apparatus in a vertical direction at least.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
